I can honestly say that I've never had a project I'm working on be mentioned in Wired before it comes out. And Kotaku. Nope, no pressure for a successful launch here at all....
hey, my new corporate overlords spent 4 months deciding on site layout and navigation menus :) There was even an in-house steering committee and a 12-member advisory panel! The result was two PDFs, with 4 screenshots each. Don't ask about the cost. It's being done by the people who built Oprahs site and I bet they love every minute of it (because they charge for every minute of it).
No pressure! Hey, beats deadlines for your LAST place of employment to a pulp! And, hey, the site is going to be awesome. Think of all those RockBand band members who are eagerly awaiting being able to print up band posters with "Crotch Rot" and "Fistful of Testicles!" splattered across the top!
