allizonThanks to the beneficience of the most gentlemanly agaran , who delivered my had-been-stowed-at-his-crib copy of Rock Band in a driving rainstorm on Saturday, I was finally able to ROCK OUT as I've been wanting to do for so, so long. wiley_b , mittere and I rocked quite a bit Saturday night and even more Sunday. We have earned a van, roadies and a pretty nice tour bus, with bigger, shinier prizes and venues awaiting.
And I have to tell you: when your band is grooving along on "Wanted Dead or Alive," and you hit that chorus, and you're doing well enough that the crowd's singing along (oh, yes, they do that), and then they call that "wanted" back at you ("'Cause I'm wanted (wanted!) dead or alive")... if you don't get a rush of "holy shit is this game ever fun" out of that, then there is something dead inside you. If that moment doesn't get to you, you clearly do not have the rock, and your guitar/drums/microphone should be taken away, for you are undeserving.
I have the rock. My bandmates and I, we have much rock.
And tonight, we shall rock more still.
