Everything goes better with valium!
Aug. 31st, 2005 05:27 pmSo between the valium beforehand and the codeine after (all doctor-prescribed, of course), the whole root planing and scaling experience wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be. The worst part, honestly, was the swallowing of various disgusting and malflavorful (look, I made up a word!) liquidy substances.
The best part? The fact that I've slept about five hours of the six since the procedure.
Only three weeks until we get to repeat the whole thing on my top teeth! Yippee! And then I can actually go to the regular dentist for a regular cleaning, for which I likely won't even need the valium!
(Special shout out to the lovely wife for doing such a bang-up job taking care of me in my time of...well, my time of medicated slumber, I suppose. She's the absolute bestest.)
