For any of you Boston-area Lord of the Rings fans who feel like driving all the way the hell out here to Rhode Island for the privilege of sitting on your butts for twelve hours: the movie theater near me in Lincoln is showing all three LOTR movies in one big marathon on April 15. The site doesn't say, but I'm assuming these are the theatrical releases and not the special editions. The theater itself just opened last November, so it's still a nice place to see movies and yes, has stadium seating.
It looks like the theater also will be showing each of the movies individually for one week each before the marathon. I wish more theaters would do that, bring some older movies back on the big screen — especially since most multiplexes have so many screens nowadays. Some movies just need the full big-screen experience.
EDIT: Don't know where Lincoln, Rhode Island is? Here ya go, via Google Maps.
